Guided tour to the Bath Pavilion, the Athletics Stadium and the Rough Rock Park in groups with no limitation of visitors.
The tour of the public work of RCR Arquitectes in the Tossols Basil area brings visitors closer to how RCR creates places based on the interpretation of specific programs in specific locations.
All three works break the landscape and architecture dichotomy and create a sequential and cinematic space treated uniquely. They capture, show and treasure the presence of time thanks to the interaction between light, the chosen materials, and the material itself. The public and social function arise from interrelating the existential and community character of the spaces with their roles, creating intimate, tactile and perceptible spaces since the essence of each intervention is matter and materials.

In the Natural Park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone in Les Preses, near Olot, there is a very special place, a sea of rocks, the product of the basaltic flow of the Croscat volcano and a difficult task of man in his struggle to get a measly patch of land to cultivate, levelling and isolating plots while piling the rocks, stones and slag into vast walls, mounds and huts. Its morphological and tactile roughness retains perception. The project tries to enhance the uniqueness of this landscape and activate the surprise factor in its discovery. A narrow line of strokes, in steel, allows you to traverse the space, and the steel, in certain episodes, holds the mounds that cross. The broken shape of the steel lines contrasts with the huge rock masses and establishes new clearings in the opening and middle acts.

Area 67,693 m². Athletic field 14,900 m². Equipment 865.95 m²
Located in a natural environment, this athletics track emphasizes the existing landscape values and brings the athletic races closer to nature. The track is located in a large-leaved oak forest clearing. Contiguous, distant and remote forests establish a relationship between the track and the forest, enhancing the stands as small terraces or as slopes between clearings.
Its equipment, in addition to containing the functional dependencies, is interrelated with the extension of the walls, the slopes and the ramps that form the slope from the access to the track; it is the big door that leads to the races, a filter between urban and nature. The door is a large roof suspended by two orthogonal walls, on one of which a glass enclosure is supported so as not to break the visual continuity or to collect the reflection of a forest that has determined the entire project.

The river flows, accompanied by the bank and the joining streams, reaching the grove of plane trees. Accompanying the movement from the bank to where it flows out is the reason that decides the pavilion’s purpose. An intrinsic will that cannot be another than the consistent materialization of an idea.
